A $25,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of pointing a gun at his former wife and threatening to kill her.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Edward Robinson, 46, with aggravated assault on a family or household member, aggravated assault, felon in possession of a firearm and terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Dante Nicholson, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on April 5 at 6:40 p.m. police were sent to a reported armed disturbance on West 22nd Avenue.

Akel said a criminal history check showed that Robinson had prior convictions for second-degree battery in 1994, residential burglary in 1996 and aggravated robbery in 1997. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled and told to come back to court May 7.
