A $10,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Yorktown man accused of trying to cash a forged check.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Mark Reynolds, 60, with second-degree forgery.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Chris Wieland, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said on Friday at 4 p.m., police were sent to Relyance Bank at 5503 S. Olive St., in response to a report that someone was attempting to cash a fake check.

McGriff said Reynolds has a lengthy criminal history and has charges pending in Jefferson County Circuit Court.

Judge Kearney also notified Reynolds that Circuit Judge Alex Guynn has revoked Reynolds’ bond in that pending case because Reyolds failed to appear in circuit court in January. He was ordered to come back to Kearney’s court March 22.
