A White Hall man previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery is facing a felony allegation after being arrested following an altercation with his girlfriend Saturday.

Kiyln Campell, 21, was taken into custody after police were sent to the Camelot Apartments at 3016 W. 40th at 3:3 p.m. in response to a reported armed disturbance.

During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel told the court what police found with they arrived.

Akel said another person came to the apartment and Campbell returned the phone to the victim. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery on Dec. 6, 2023.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Campbell and told him to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled. He is to return to court March 12.
