A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff woman previously convicted of domestic battery after she was arrested on a similar offense Sunday.

Jefferson County Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Anglia Obasade, 33, with second offense third-degree battery, a felony.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Britaney Akel said on Sunday at about 6:30 a.m., police were sent to an address on South Amis Street in response to a reported domestic disturbance.

Akel told the court that Obasade had been convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery in 2021. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court March 25.
