A reported domestic disturbance on Fir Street Wednesday resulted in the arrest of  man who has a prior conviction for domestic battery.

Jason Laster was taken into custody when he returned to the address where a previous altercation occurred, Detective Sgt. Keith Banks said in a probable cause affidavit presented in court Friday.

Reading from that affidavit, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West told the court what the victim said.

West said Laster is on probation in Saline County after being convicted of domestic battery, but Laster said the probation was for breaking or entering.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Laster after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second offense third-degree domestic battery, a felony. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court March 1.
