A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly stole money from the Saracen Casino where she was working.

Latrice Belcher, 48, was taken into custody after police were sent to the casino after an investigation by casino security into the theft of $10,000 from the cash cage.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West read an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Chris Wieland.

Asked by Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney if the money had been recovered, West said the affidavit did not indicate that.

Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Belcher after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with theft of property.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Belcher and she was told to come back to court Jan. 10.
