A $25,000 cash bond was set Friday for a White Hall man accused of drug dealing as well as having large amounts of drugs and some paraphernalia.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 44-year-old Brandon Hutchinson with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Gerald Johnson, Prosecuting Attorney S Kyle Hunter said on June 3rd, members of the Pine Bluff Vice and Narcotics Unit and Tri-County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on 5107 W. 14th Ave.
Upon entry, officers detained Hutchinson, who was inside the residence.
A search was conducted and a Tupperware with a green substance identified as 28 grams of Marijuana inside was located, along with an unlabeled pill bottle with 6 pink pills marked M-10 later identified as oxycodone.
Hutchinson had money in his hand as well as on the table, all totaling to be $445.
A scale paired with sandwich baggies was found on the kitchen counter. Suspected crack cocaine was also recovered.
Hutchinson admitted ownership of the marijuana, but stated the pills belonged to his aunt.
He could not provide her name as well as a consistent story for how those pills got into his possession.
Officials also recovered 2 phones.
Hutchinson also has two pending cases in 1st division. He is scheduled to return to court.
