A $45,000 cash-only bond was set Friday for an England man who was arrested Wednesday after he was found at the site of a former school with wires in his hand.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Christopher Reed, 45, with commercial burglary, theft of property, and possession of a controlled substance because a crystal-like substance was found in his left front pocket.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Enrique Soto, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said police were sent to 3400 W. 34th where the property owner reported he was making a citizens’ arrest.

King said Reed has pending felony charges and failed to show up for a court appearance on a 2015 allegation in April.

He was told to come back to court on June 22.
