A reported disturbance Thursday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a Pine Bluff man who allegedly hit a 75-year-old man several times.

Glenn Cain, 64, was taken into custody after police were given a description of the clothing the suspect was wearing and Cain was found in the area.

According to a probable cause affidavit from Detective Sgt. Michael Roberts, the disturbance was reported at a house on Arlington Street and when officers arrived, they spoke to the male victim. Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King told the court what the victim said.

King said Cain has prior convictions for aggravated robbery, burglary, and criminal mischief.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $30,000 bond for Cain after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second-degree battery. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court July 14.
