A $25,000 bond was set Monday for a Jefferson County Jail Deputy arrested Saturday when she attempted to bring contraband into the jail.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Shacamry Taylor, 26, with furnishing prohibited articles and possession of a controlled substance.

Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 8:30 p.m., Tri-County Drug Task Force investigators were called to the adult jail after an employee was detained for attempting to bring contraband into the facility.

Taylor was told to come back to court Oct. 19.

Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr., talked about Taylor bringing in contraband and her arrest Monday morning on Oldies 1013.

Woods then went on to say this.
