A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of breaking into an apartment Wednesday morning and assaulting a person there.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Aaron Stigger, 44, with residential burglary and third-degree assault.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West explained why Stigger was arrested.

West said Stigger has a prior conviction for residential burglary from Cleveland County in 2008.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Jan. 10.
