A $25,000 cash-only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly robbed another man Wednesday morning.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Josinnie Johnson, 36, with aggravated robbery and theft by receiving.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Tamina Smith, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said Officer Marvin Cawthon was sent to 2006 W. 17th Ave., at 8:30 a.m. in response to a reported robbery.

McGriff said a key was found in Johnson’s pocket and after a search warrant was obtained, police searched the house where they found a 9-millimeter handgun that had been reported stolen in Little Rock under a mattress.

Records showed that Johnson has four prior felony convictions and is currently on suspended imposition of sentence on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
