A traffic stop by police Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Pine Bluff man on drug and weapons charges.

Markevious Blake, 21, was driving a vehicle that police detective Richard McCorvy stopped, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said during a court hearing Tuesday.

Alexander said Blake has no prior felony convictions or pending charges and Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a$25,000 bond for him after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Blake said he would hire his own attorney.
