A $2,500 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of pointing a gun at another woman Tuesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Carlawana Richardson, 36, with aggravated assault.

Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad told the court that an officer was sent to the 100 block of Wisconsin Street where the female victim said she had been at the Brentwood Shopping Center when a woman later identified as Richardson pointed a black handgun with a silver slide at her.

At about the same time, another officer was sent to the shopping center where Richardson reported she had been harassed.

Detective Ryan Edwards arrived on the scene and Richardson was asked for officer safety if she had a gun and Conrad reported what Richardson said.

When she was interviewed, Richardson said she had walked out of her business and had the gun in the pocket of her hooded sweatshirt. She said she took it out and held it in her hand. Richardson was asked if the victim knew she (Richardson) had a gun and she said no.

Richardson was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled. She said she would hire her own attorney.
