20-year-old White Hall man arrested for MLK Park murder

A 20-year-old White Hall man has been arrested for first degree murder following a shooting incident at Martin Luther King Park on May 6.

Deshawn Chapman was arrested Friday on a charge of first degree murder, two counts of battery in the first degree, and a charge of terroristic threatening in the first degree.

Chapman is accused of killing a 16-year-old victim, and injuring two other victims.

Law enforcement sources tell Deltaplex News that two other suspects are still being sought. No information is available on the identities of those suspects.
