A Humprey man was accused of second-degree battery after an incident involving a nurse practitioner at Jefferson Regional.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Corey Wilfong of the Pine Bluff Police Department Deputy Prosecutor Joe West explained the allegations against 22-year-old Lamarkus Mosby.

West said that Mosby is currently out on bond for another second-degree battery charge, and has pending battery charges in both Pulaski and Arkansas counties.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge Mosby with second-degree battery and set a $15,000 secured bond.

A no-contact order was granted for the victim and Mosby was told to return to court on July 24th. The public attorney’s office was appointed to represent him.
