$100k bond was set for a Pine Bluff man on drug and firearms charges

A $100,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man on drug and firearms related charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kelsey Green, 34, with two counts of theft by receiving, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Sgt. Clayton Cantrell, Deputy Prosecutor Brittany Akel said on Monday at 12:30 a.m., a BOLO was put out for a red 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe that had been reported stolen and the owner reported that his firearm was in the vehicle.

Akel said Green has five prior felony convictions including theft of property and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was told to come ack to court April 9.
