A $100,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man who was at the scene of a shooting Sunday morning that resulted in the death of one man and injuries to three others.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kyle Miller, 21, with hindering apprehension and abuse of a corpse. He had been booked into the jail on an allegation of capital murder but prosecutors are not pursuing that charge.

Police said Miller drove off in a truck that contained another man who was firing shots at the victims, then refused to tell police who the other man was.

Detective Corey Wilfong reported that at 12:41 a.m., police responded to the area of University Drive and Pullen Street and the first officer on the scene reported multiple groups of males were shooting at each other.

Alexander one of the males, later identified as Peal was pronounced dead at the scene and three other men were taken to hospitals to be treated.

When Miller was questioned, he allegedly said he was drunk that night and didn’t remember what happened. He also refused to tell police who was with him.

Miller said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court Dec. 1.
