Mass shootings, including the one in Memphis over the weekend was the topic for Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr., who was asked about them by host Greg Horne.

While the number of available guns was one factor, Woods talked about another one.

Woods went on to say that he doesn’t know how to deal with the young people without getting their parents involved in their children’s lives. “Understand, how they raise their kids makes a difference.”

Horne said there has been a difference in the number of homicides and violent crimes in the past few months and asked Woods if that was a result of work the Gang Intervention Project or just luck, or a combination of both.
