Early voting for the April 2 run-off election for Mayor and a Ward 3 position on the Pine Bluff City Council began Tuesday and the leading vote getter in that Ward 3 spot, William Fells, was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.

Fells will face incumbent Council Member Glen Brown Sr., who finished second in the three person primary.

On Monday, Brown Sr., was the guest and said he did not understand why Fells would give up his former job working for Mayor Shirley Washington in the Mayor’s office to run for city council and take a big pay cut. Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Fells about that.

Horne also asked Fells what his priorities would be if he did win election.

Fells also voiced his support for the Group Violence Initiative.

Horne then asked Fells how the city council would be able to support a program like that.
