The White Hall School District (WHSD) and community are mourning the sudden tragic loss of their high school football coach Ryan Mallett. Tuesday, Mallet passed away due to a tragic accidental drowning at Destin Beach in Destin, Florida.
On Thursday, WHSD Superintendent Gary Williams joined the Oldies 101.3 morning show to talk about the person Mallet was to him and the community.
Host Greg Horne mentioned the impact Mallet had on kids, and Williams spoke more about that.
Horne went on to talk about the tragic loss of a White Hall student and football player over a month ago and now Mallet, and asked Williams how they are supporting the athletes on the football team.
Williams was asked about the next steps for a new head football coach and he said that the district is taking the time to mourn this loss.
