A White Hall woman was arrested Saturday after being accused of hitting her boyfriend and causing injuries.

Kayla Cain, 23, was taken into custody after police were sent to 220 N. Bois De Arc St.

During a court hearing Tuesday, Detective Chris Wieland was asked to explain the allegation against Cain.

Wieland told Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed that the victim was later taken to Jefferson Regional hospital for treatment.

Reed said Cain has a previous misdemeanor conviction for third-degree domestic battery and court records show an arrest for domestic battery in Pulaski County but do not show a disposition.

Because of the prior conviction, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cain with second offense third-degree domestic battery, a felony, and set her bond at $2,500. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
