A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday for a White Hall woman accused of chasing a man with a machete on Dollarway Road in the early morning hours Monday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Tantianna Tate, 19, with aggravated assault on a family or household member and second-degree criminal mischief.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said police received the call at about 2.a.m.

Akel told the court police took the machete from Tate and she made statements that she had anger issues and was on medication.

Tate was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled and told to come back to court Aug. 25. She said she would hire her own attorney.
