Power outages caused by severe weather that blew through White Hall Thursday night resulted in about half of the 3,000 students in the White Hall School District being unable to attend classes Friday because of power outages.

School District Superintendent Gary Williams said that district officials made decision to close all the campuses Friday and students will make up the missed day on President’s Day.

Williams also talked about the possibility of ice and snow over the weekend and into the first of next week and the district’s plans if that happens.
