White Hall Mayor Noel Foster has named White Hall Police Maj. Mickey Bufkin as the interim Chief of the Police Department.
Buffkin, who held the second highest rank in the department, will take over for former Chief Greg Shapiro, who resigned Wednesday without explanation.
Before joining the White Hall Police Department, Buffkin worked as a criminal investigator for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
