On Monday, the Watson Chapel School Board was told that the school district has been place on the agenda for the State Board of Education meeting this Friday about what was described as a “serious infraction” of state policy.
School board member Alan Frazier was asked about it when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show Tuesday.
Morning show host Greg Horne asked Frazier if the district is putting safeguards in place to ensure that this kind of thing doesn’t happen again)
Horne also mentioned that the State Board of Education recently returned the Pine Bluff School District to local control after being taken over for financial difficulties and asked Frazier if the state board’s interest in Watson Chapel was related only to the scheduling problems and not financial problems.
