United Way of Southeast Arkansas created a new program designed for volunteers called Helping Hands

With the Retired and Senor Volunteer Program in Jefferson County being eliminated, the United Way of Southeast Arkansas went looking for an alternative and created a new entity, called Helping Hands.

Barbara Goodwin and Jeanette Lightfoot are co-directors and appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Lightfoot explained some of the things volunteers are involved with.

She said participants also engage in a lot of activities.
