Early voting begins next week and Mayoral candidate Vivian Flowers made her case as to why she was the best choice when she appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Thursday.

Flowers currently is a State Representative, a position she has held for 10 years and is giving up the seat and is giving up what Morning Show host Greg Horne called a “relatively safe seat” to try and replace incumbent Mayor Shirley Washington.

Horne asked her why.

“I don’t know if I believe that,” Horne said and Flowers responded this way.

Flowers said things need to be changed and Horne asked her to be specific, asked her what she wanted to take on during her first 90 days.

Incumbent Mayor Shirley Washington will be a guest on Oldies 1013 Friday at 8 s.m.
