During the first four years that he was in office, Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson oversaw the construction of three new buildings, a complete facelift for the county courthouse, raises for county employees and elected officials, among other things.

However since the beginning of this year, no news legislation has been approved as there has been bitter infighting between Robinson and more than half of the quorum court members. On Thursday, veteran quorum court member and former Jefferson County Clerk Patricia Royal Johnson was a guest on Talk Back Live where Floyd Donald asked her what she attributed that to, then said many people say it’s because of Lloyd Franklin Jr.

Johnson went on to say that some of the current members of the Quorum Court where on thee during Robinson’s first term in office.

At the last meeting of the quorum court, half of the justices of the peace walked out and Donald asked Johnson if she thought that was preplanned.

Robinson has filed a lawsuit against the members of the Quorum Court to try and settle the issue and Johnson was asked what can be done now.
