Arkansas State Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting Thursday night at Marianna that resulted in the death of one teenager and injuries to another.
The shooting was reported at 10:30 p.m. at Main and Alabama Streets in downtown Marianna.
A press release from the state police said Martin Davis, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene and Cameron Ryder, 16, was taken to a hospital at Memphis after receiving what was described as a “non-life- threatening wound.”
Davis and Ryder were both reportedly from the Helena-West Helena area.
Investigators are reportedly attempting to locate two suspects who were seen with Davis and Ryder at a business in Marianna a short time before the shooting.
Davis’ body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine cause and manner of death.
