UPDATE 11:20 A.M. Interim Police Chief Lloyd Franklin Sr., said there were four people shot at University and Pullen, not six as Deltaplex News was initially told. This changes the total number of people shot to 12 instead of 14.

UPDATE 9:00 A.M.: Deltaplex News has confirmed that Sunday morning’s shooting at the Sahara Shrine Temple is an officer involved shooting. No information has been released as to how the incident began, or who the officer(s) involved are at this time. The Arkansas State Police have taken over the investigation, and will be releasing more information later today.

UPDATE 5:25 A.M.: Sources from various law enforcement agencies have informed Deltaplex News that 14 people were shot in two separate incidents in Pine Bluff on Sunday morning.

8 people were shot in a shooting at the Sahara Shrine Temple on Main Street.

4 people were shot in a shooting at University and Pullen.

One person shot at the Sahara Shrine Temple has died. 

Sources have also indicated that at least two victims have been med flighted to Little Rock hospitals in very critical condition.


UPDATE 3:45 A.M.:
Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley has confirmed to Deltaplex News that there are fatalities due to the shooting. Additionally, at least two other patients have been taken to Little Rock hospitals via med flight.

Deltaplex News has also been made aware of another shooting in the area of University Drive and Pullen Avenue.

No other details are available at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Pine Bluff Police Department is currently investigating a shooting on Main Street that happened near the Shriner Temple.
