A report of shots being fired at an apartment complex in Southwestern Pine Bluff on July 20 resulted in the arrest of a man witnesses identified as having fired some of the shots.

Darrion Williams, 19, told an Arkansas State Police investigator that he had been at the apartments driving a red vehicle but denied shooting at anyone.

Special Agent Dustin Thompson wrote in a probable cause affidavit that he and other Investigators went to the Jefferson Heights Apartments on Union Avenue to investigate a report that a person driving a red car had shot at people on the parking lot of the complex and they returned fire.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad continued the story.

Williams was arrested Wednesday and interviewed by Thompson at the Pine Bluff Police Department.

Conrad said there is currently a pending case against Williams which was filed July 14 accusing him of two counts of a terroristic act and three counts of aggravated assault. Because of that pending case, Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $25,000 cash-only bond for Williams on probable cause of discharging a firearm from a vehicle

Williams said he would hire his own attorney.
