Leigh Espey, who had been the interim director of the Saline County Library has been given the job on a full-time basis. She was unanimously recommended by the trustees of the county and will begin her new job on January 1st. Back in April, the Quorum Court voted in favor of a resolution that would mandate books classified as inappropriate to be out of the reach in the children’s section. A few months later, an ordinance was passed that gave County Judge Matt Brumley the authority to fire anyone from the board. In October, the former director Patty Hector was fired.
