Wednesday is United Way Day on the Oldies 101.3 morning show and Leslie Dorn joined with Barbara Goodwin from the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
Goodwin was asked to explain the program and its services in Jefferson County.
She was also asked about the number of people that volunteer and Goodwin went on to talk about the numbers for Jefferson County specifically.
Host Greg Horne asked Goodwin what the requirements are and Goodwin said they have to be fifty-five years of age and “ready to work”. She added that the program needs new volunteers.
