Police arrest 3, search for 1 more from Sunday morning homicide

UPDATE:

Detectives have arrested 29-year-old, Henry McAllister, 21-year-old, Jaheim Ramsey, and 22-year-old, Cordareyell Daniels, in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old, Vincent Peal Jr., and shooting 22-year-old, Martice Carter, 40-year-old, Juron Wilson, and 23-year-old, Omar Swanigan.

McAllister, Ramsey, and Daniels were booked in at Dub Brassell Detention Center for numerous charges:

-Capital Murder

-Battery in the First Degree (3 counts)

-Carrying a Prohibited Weapon

-Violation of the Uniformed Machine Gun Act

-Terroristic Act

-Engaging in a Violent Criminal Act

-Felony Fleeing

Detectives have also identified 21-year-old, Deontae Coleman (pictured), in connection with this incident. Coleman is a black male, 5’5” in height, with brown eyes, and black hair. Coleman’s last known address is 1509 W. 23rd Avenue. Coleman should be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS!

Coleman is wanted for numerous charges:

-Capital Murder

-Battery in the First Degree (3 counts)

-Carrying a Prohibited Weapon

-Violation of the Uniformed Machine Gun Act

-Terroristic Act

-Engaging in a Violent Criminal Act

***Daniels and Coleman will not be charged with Felony Fleeing but will be charged with all other charges listed above.

Detectives are actively investigating this incident and following up on every lead.

Original story:

On October 22, 2023, at approximately 12:41 a.m., officers responded to 200 N. University (Alukab Super Stop), in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, one officer observed a large crowd on the parking lot and multiple people actively shooting. The officer stated two of the males he saw shooting got into a white Pontiac and he began to chase them.

The white Pontiac was pursued by multiple law enforcement agencies but was ultimately stopped and the two males were taken into custody.

There was a total of four people shot at 200 N. University. One male died from his injuries, one male is in critical condition, and the two other males sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

This is an active investigation, and all leads are being pursued by detectives. There is no other information at this time.
