A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly hit a man with her vehicle on the parking lot of Wal Mart.

Walneshia Stewart, 26, allegedly said the man was being aggressive with her and told him she was going to hit him with her vehicle, and she did, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said during a court hearing for Stewart Wednesday.

Detective Corey Wilfong reported that the victim said he did not know Stewart. He said he was carrying groceries out for a customer when he was hit by the vehicle. The victim was taken for medial treatment.

West said Stewart has active warrants in Texas and in St. Francis County, Arkansas.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $50,000 bond for Stewart after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with second-degree battery. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim or with WalMart and told to come back to court Aug. 14.
