A 25,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of battering two people while she was a patient at Jefferson Regional Hospital.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Brianna Hooper, 32, with two counts of second-degree battery.

Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jil Reed said on Saturday, police were sent to the hospital in response to a battery report.

Reed said Hooper had no prior felony convictions but had been convicted of multiple misdemeanor offenses. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back Sept. 8.
