The Pine Bluff School District would like to share the following information about the millage vote that appears on the November 8, 2022 election ballot.

Annually stakeholders are asked to vote on their local district’s millage. Most times it may go unnoticed because typically there is no request for a change unless a project is planned. Due to the annexation, the voters of the former Dollarway School District (DSD) are taxed at a different millage rate than the voters of the previous Pine Bluff School District (PBSD).

The DSD millage rate is 40.8 and the PBSD millage rate is 41.7. The district will ask the voters to unify the millage rate to a combined millage of 41.7 to make it the same rate for all voters within our district. If the voters vote against the millage, the rates will remain as they were and the item will remain on the ballot until the vote passes and the millage rate is unified.

A millage vote to fund the construction of the new high school and improvements to other campuses will be a part of a spring millage campaign once the local board is appointed.
