Pine Bluff Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a teenager on Tuesday.

Omarius Moore, 17, was taken into custody and is being held on probable cause of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a minor, pending the filing of formal charges.

During a court hearing Thursday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said at about 9:40 p.m., police responded to 2833 S. Orlando where they found a 17-year-old male on the ground in front of the house with gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital and pronounced dead of what West said appeared to be four gunshot wounds.

Detective Jason Boykin reported that Moore was questioned and West told the court what Moore said.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $750,000 bond for Moore whose parents said they would hire an attorney for him. Moore was told to come back to court Aug. 15.
