A $100,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man on a felony drug allegation.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cardero Aytch, 32, with trafficking a controlled substance, a Class Y felony.

Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Capt. Yohance Brunson, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on Thursday, Brunson was contacted by the federal Department of Homeland Security about a UPS package containing suspected cocaine.

Brunson reported that during a search of the house, a plastic bag containing suspected cocaine was found, along with the UPS package which contained 2.2 pounds of suspected cocaine. Investigators also seized several cell phones and a laptop computer.

Aytch was told to come back to court Aug. 8.
