A Pine Bluff man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly tried to take a vehicle from a parking lot.

Antonio Weaver, 29, who has two prior convictions for breaking or entering will have to post a $20,000 bond to be released from the adult detention center after Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth ruled Friday prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with theft of property.

Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King told the court the circumstances that led to Weaver’s arrest.

King said the owner of the truck had to pull Weaver out twice. After the first incident, Weaver was told to leave but tried to get back in the vehicle.

Weaver said he would hire his own attorney.
