A 23-year-old Pine Bluff man was arrested Sunday after he was allegedly involved in an altercation with his mother.

Travante Jackson was taken into custody after police were sent to West 39th Avenue in response to a reported disturbance.

During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander explained the nature of the call.

Court records show that Jackson has similar charges pending, Alexander said.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $50,000 bond for Jackson after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Jackson was told to come back to court Aug. 24.
