A $2,500 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly shot at a vehicle during an altercation Sunday.

Pine Bluff District Judges John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Chandler Irby, 21, with aggravated assault.

During the court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad said an officer was sent to 4321 S. Olive in reference to the reported disturbance.

When Irby was interviewed, he told police he had shot at the ground because the female had hit his car.

Detective Keith Banks reported that Irby’s mother gave police the handgun and after Irby was read his rights, he asked for an attorney.

Irby was ordered to have no contact with the female and told to come back to court Sept. 1. He said he would hire his own attorney.
