A Pine Bluff man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly raped a woman at her house on the north side of town.

Warren McCombs, 55, was not questioned about the incident after he asked for an attorney.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad said an officer was sent to the house where she talked to the victim.

Detective Chris Wieland reported that the victim said that because she had been heavily sedated, she fell asleep and when she woke up, McCombs was having sex with her. She said she tried to get him off her and he finally stopped.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $100,000 bond for McCombs after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with rape. McCombs said he would hire his own attorney and was told to have no contact with the victim.
