A 20-year-old Pine Bluff man was arrested Monday after he was found driving a car that had been reported stolen.

Cordarious Gibson was taken into custody by an Arkansas State Trooper who saw the car while driving on the west side of the city.

During a court hearing Wednesday, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King explained the events that led to the arrest.

Gibson was not questioned because he asked for an attorney.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $5,000 bond for Gibson after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with theft of property. Gibson said he would hire his own attorney.
