On Monday, the Pine Bluff School Board drew lots to determine the order in which they will face voters after the state board of education voted to return the district to local control.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show Tuesday, Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree was asked how the process is going to work.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Barbaree if Dr. Sedrick Rice, who is the president of the board was the one who came up with the plan and Barbaree answered this way.

Barbaree went on to say that the district contacted the state board of education about the process that is going to be used and that is the way that it is going to be done, regardless of opposition from some, including the NAACP.
