The victim of a shooting incident at 12th Avenue and Blake Street Thursday refused to give police a statement, according to a police report released Friday.
The report identified the victim as Julius Ford, 18, who, according to a witness, was driving a 2013 Toyota Corolla when the car was shot and wrecked into a pole.
He was taken to Jefferson Regional hospital by ambulance and his condition was unknown.
A second witness reported seeing Ford running from Blake Street around a house in the 1200 block of Bay Street with a handgun in his hand.
The witness told police Ford must have dropped the gun because he came back looking for it.
An investigation into the incident is continuing.
