A three-eights cent sales tax increase devoted to public safety in Pine Bluff failed for the second time last month and on Monday, Pine Bluff Police Chief Denise Richardson, who had supported the tax appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show and was asked how disappointed she was that the tax failed.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Richardson if she thought city leaders should try again to get voters to approve the tax, with it being on the ballot separately, instead of being coupled with extending the Go Forward tax as has been the case the previous two times.

Horne said there has been a lot of talk about improving technology, particularly increasing the number of cameras in the city and asked if Pine Bluff could use more cameras.
