One person was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle accident in Camden Saturday.

According to a preliminary report, David Clark, 27, of Camden was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. Highway 79 in a 2015 Ford pickup truck when it was struck by the front of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeremy Burnett, 40, of Camden that had been southbound.

After impact, both vehicles came to rest in the inside northbound lane of the highway.

Clark was killed and Burnett and a passenger in his car, Bobbie Risher, 40, of Broken Bow., Okla. Were injured and taken to hospitals in Camden and El Dorado.

The accident was reported at 11 p.m. and the death was the 468th so far this year on the state’s highways.
