A Grant County man was killed and a second injured in a two-vehicle traffic accident on Highway 46 Thursday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Phillip Baldwin, 66, of Sheridan was westbound on Highway 46 riding a Honda Valkarie motorcycle when a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Richard Brewer, 58, also of Sheridan crossed the center line while negotiating a left-hand curve. The front of the truck struck the front of the motorcycle.
Baldwin was killed and Brewer was injured and taken to Saline Memorial Hospital at Benton for treatment.
The accident was reported at 12:46 p.m. in the 3600 block of Highway 46.
The death was the 251st on the state’s highways so far this year.
